Taste of the IslandA private 3-hour island experience
Inland Hvar tells a different story from the harbour. Villages where honey has been made for centuries, olive groves producing award-winning oil, lavender fields that made the island famous across the world, and ancient viewpoints that put the whole Adriatic beneath you.
Taste of the Island lets you experience the highlights of the island in just three hours. Travel in a private Mercedes V-Class and enjoy the company of a licensed guide from Split-Dalmatia County. The tour is fully flexible and can be tailored to your interests and preferences.

The journey
Approximately 3 hours. Departing from Hvar town.
Hvar Town — Departure
We meet in Hvar town and depart inland in a private Mercedes V class, heading into the quieter roads of the island's interior.
Poljica Village
A scenic stop in Poljica is a tiny hilltop settlement above the old town of Jelsa — stone houses, terraced fields, and views that stretch to the sea. One of the island's quietest and most authentic corners.
Brusje — Tasting Stop
The centrepiece. In the hillside village of Brusje, taste 3–4 varieties of locally produced honey, 2 varieties of extra-virgin olive oil, and 3–4 types of traditional homemade rakija. A display of lavender-derived products accompanies the tasting. This is Hvar's agricultural heritage, shared in person by the people who produce it.
Lavender Fields
Hvar's most iconic natural landscape — fields of lavender across the hillsides, producing essential oil exported across Europe. Most spectacular in June when in full bloom, remarkable at any time of year.
Sv. Rok Viewpoint
A pause at the hilltop chapel of Sv. Rok, where a panoramic view opens over Stari Grad and the UNESCO-listed Stari Grad Plain — an agricultural landscape unchanged since ancient Greek colonisation in 385 BC. One of the most remarkable vistas in the entire Adriatic.
Stari Grad — Short Walk
A leisurely walk through the ancient streets of Stari Grad, founded by Greek colonists in 385 BC. Stone lanes, a Renaissance castle-garden, and the slow rhythm of one of Europe's oldest inhabited towns. Time to explore at your own pace.
Return to Hvar Town
